Account Manager - Logistics Industry
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 p.a. depending on experiences + Uncapped Commission + Benefits + Company car \ Car allowance
Location: Midlands – field based

Excellent opportunity to work for an international Logistics and Supply Chain company
Field based role with regular clients visit on sites - company car / car allowance
Full time permanent role available with immediate start – career progression provided

Main duties:
To manage and grow an existing customer portfolio by identifying and closing new business opportunities that have high commercial value whilst being mindful of profit margin.

The Role:

• To develop and maintain relationships with existing customers in your territory (Midlands or North West) via regular scheduled visits and calls
• To achieve agreed sales targets by identifying, profiling and winning new opportunities within your customer base
• To create opportunities to sell the company’s solutions to customers
• To manage effectively the CRM system – daily update to record customer activity, opportunities, sales stages & pipeline
• To produce accurate weekly and monthly reports in a timely manner and create activity plans to develop key accounts
• To acquire new strategic customers within existing or new market segments where possible
• Be a real team player, build open and authentic relationships within the sales team and across the business

Candidate's Profile

• Previous account management experience within Logistics (Transport Coordination, European Freight, Freight Forwarding) or Supply Chain sector is required
• Study or background in Supply Chain or working with Tech companies is beneficial
• Strong commercial awareness & high motivation to consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Effective negotiating skills and excellent communication skills both verbal and written for preparing and delivering presentations to customers
• Proactive, confident and dynamic
• Computer literate and numerate (MS Office, CRM system)
• Collaborative and supportive team player
• Driving license holder
