Business Development Manager – Germany (m/w/d)
Location: Frankfurt
Hybrid work: Combination of remote work and regular customer visits; office presence as required
Salary: €70,000–€85,000 per annum plus bonus/commission plus company car

Main duties:
To drive new business development and support commercial growth in Germany by acquiring new customers, developing opportunities, and contributing to a sustainable local market presence, supported by the Head of Sales Germany.

The role:
– Develop new business opportunities within the German market, with a strong focus on Tier-1 retail customers
– Sell solution-based offerings to large retail organisations with complex, multi-site environments
– Engage with stakeholders across the wider ecosystem, including retail groups and banking or financial partners
– Manage structured, end-to-end sales cycles from prospecting to closing
– Build and maintain strong relationships with operational, commercial, and decision-making stakeholders
– Operate in a highly hands-on role, owning pipeline generation and deal execution
– Work within defined sales processes, ensuring accurate reporting of pipeline, KPIs, and activity
– Represent the company in Germany and contribute to local brand visibility
– Collaborate closely with the Head of Sales Germany and international internal teams to deliver tailored solutions

Candidate's Profile

– Experience in business development or sales within B2B technology, software, or solution-based environments
– Proven experience working with and/or selling to Tier-1 retailers (large retail groups, high-volume or multi-site operations)
– Comfortable engaging with banking or financial services stakeholders as part of a broader retail ecosystem
– Strong commercial profile enabling credibility with both retail and financial partners
– Hunter mentality with a track record of new business acquisition
– Hands-on, autonomous, and comfortable in lean and entrepreneurial organisations
– Process-driven approach to managing structured sales cycles
– Strong knowledge of the German market; role focused exclusively on Germany
– Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
– Fluent in German and English
– Willingness to travel regularly across Germany

€70,000–€85,000 base salary per annum plus performance-related bonus/commission (approximately 20–25%) plus company car
