French and German speaking Credit Controller
Location: Ashton-under-Lyne
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum

Main duties:
To drive improvements in free cash flow and operational performance, with a focus on optimizing accounts receivable and credit processes.

The role:
– To engage with customers and account teams to set optimal credit terms and build strong client relationships while reducing bad debt risk
– To effectively utilize and analyse data to assess credit risks and formulate proactive strategies that are fully aligned with company goals
– To improve and strengthen our credit strategy by implementing industry best practices
– To work closely with internal and external teams, including, Controllers, Treasury, Sales, Service Delivery Managers, and Accounts Receivable teams
– To ensure compliance with collection activities and proactively resolve any related issues

– Fluent in French and German (spoken and written)
– Experience in B2B Credit Control is a must
– Experience in manufacturing environment would be beneficial
– Understanding of Incoterms and related payment vehicles, including Letter of Credit and Cash Against Documents (CAD)
– Familiarity with financial reporting sources such as D&B, Graydon, or Credit Risk Monitor
– Excellent interpersonal skills and articulate
– Driven, motivated and prepared to maximize the opportunity
