Food Regulatory Compliance Specialist m/w/d
Location: Home-Based in Germany
Salary: €70,000 to €80,000 per annum depending on experience

Main duties:
In this role you will be ensuring that food labels and product information follow legal rules and are adapted to expectations for the German market. It also involves advising clients and helping products launch safely and compliantly.

The role:
– Review product labels and information to ensure regulatory compliance
– Assess packaging artwork and product specifications for accuracy
– Ensure products meet German and international food regulations
– Provide regulatory guidance to clients and suppliers
– Identify compliance risks and recommend appropriate solutions
– Manage multiple projects while delivering work within deadlines
– Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food legislation and industry requirements

– Degree-level qualification in food science, regulatory affairs, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience)
– At least 2 years’ experience in a technical, regulatory, or compliance-related role
– Strong knowledge of food law, labelling regulations, and industry guidelines
– Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
– Experience working independently and managing workload effectively
– Ability to interpret regulations and apply them accurately to product information
