Head of Group Travel – DMC
Location: London
Salary: from £50,000 per annum depending on experience

Main duties: To manage the team of Travel Operations Executives across within the Groups department, and provide training and guidance.

The role:
– To provide direct day-to-day management of the travel operations team within the Groups department
– To provide training, support and guidance to the team where needed
– To set and monitor KPI’s for the operations team and adjust accordingly
– To manage and deal with escalated enquiries from clients in a timely manner
– To monitor and give feedback on areas of improvement/areas of success within the team
– To be aware of cultural differences within a team and react sensitively
– To be aware of important changes in the travel market and communicate course of action to the team
– To report to the Directors of the company

– Experience in a sales role within a Destination Management Company – Essential
– Experience in People Management/Team Leadership – Essential
– Excellent communication skills with knowledge of cultural differences
– Excellent attention to detail and able to work under pressure
– Ability to lead a team effectively and make decisions appropriately
– Excellent organisational skills
– Proactive, confident and dynamic personality
– IT literate
