Salary:  Between £24,000 to £28,000 p.a. ( DOE)  + benefits
Location: Preston, Lancashire

Main duties:
You will be responsible for day to day planning & control within the road & transport operations


The Role:
- To manage customer orders across Europe
- Ensuring that a high level of customer services is provided at all time
- To make sure that client requirements are met
- To manage transport partners
- To negotiate transport costs in line with cost ratios
-  To build strong relationship with clients and partners to ensure transport plan is reached
- To deal with any transport related issues  in conjunction with the rest of the operations
  team
- To identify new business flows for reloading thye vehicles and freight forwarding activities


 

Candidate's Profile:

- Fluent in English (Written and Spoken) is essential
- Fluent in Spanish and/or Italian is essential
- Previous Freight Forwarding or traffic office experience is essential
- Knowledge of driver’s hours & vehicle operating legislation is a bonus
- Excellent communication skills - positive and confident telephone manner is essential
-  Problem solving skills and ability to multitasks and prioritise
- Strong attention to details - Proactive, confident and dynamic personality
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Ability to delegate skills in busy periods
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office) and able to learn new software

Salary:

Between £24,000 to £28,000 p.a. depending on experience + Benefits
