Transactions Accountant – AML/KYC
Location: London – fully office-based
Salary: around £50,000 per annum

Main Duties:
This is a specialist finance role responsible for managing financial transactions, client accounts and compliance within an international art trading business. The position combines accounting, AML/KYC, tax and post-sale financial operations, working with high-value transactions and clients.

The Role:
– Handle invoices and payments for art auctions
– Calculate payments to sellers and make sure they are correct
– Carry out AML and KYC checks for buyers and sellers
– Manage VAT, tax and Artist’s Resale Rights
– Deal with day-to-day bookkeeping, invoices and expenses
– Keep financial records accurate and work to tight deadlines

– Strong experience in finance or accounting
– ACCA qualified or part-qualified
– Anti-Money Laundering experience is essential
– Knowledge (of) / fluency in the Russian language would be a strong advantage, although not essential
– Strong knowledge of Excel and accounting software
– Experience with VAT, tax and financial transactions
– Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, especially under tight deadlines
– Professional, discreet and confident when dealing with high-value clients
